What Is Bavette?

Bavette, also known as flank steak, is a muscle located in the abdominal area of the animal. Because this muscle is actively used, it develops a rich and pronounced beef flavor that is highly prized by meat connoisseurs.

Unlike tenderloin, bavette is not only about tenderness. It is especially valued for its deep flavor and satisfying texture. When cooked correctly, it delivers an exceptional balance of juiciness, tenderness, and character.

What Does Black Angus Bavette Taste Like?

Black Angus Bavette is known for:

  • Deep, authentic beef flavor
  • Juicy texture
  • Excellent balance between tenderness and character
  • Subtle nutty notes developed through grain feeding

If you enjoy ribeye, picanha, skirt steak, or sirloin, you will love this exceptional cut.
